Dhanmondi Duplex
A full duplex renovation — walls opened, light borrowed, and every room replanned around how the family actually gathers.
The project
A 1990s duplex apartment transformed for a family of five. The original plan was a corridor of small, dark rooms; the renovation opens the kitchen, dining and living spaces into one continuous ground plane.
Existing structure was retained — no new slabs were added — keeping approvals simple and the budget focused on the interiors where it shows. Custom teak joinery anchors the living spaces and conceals storage throughout.
The project ran for six months while the family temporarily relocated, with weekly site reports and photographic progress logs shared with the owners throughout.
