The project
Riverside Residence is a six-storey private home for a joint family, designed around one request: every floor should feel connected to the lake without giving up privacy. The plan steps back as it rises, creating deep shaded balconies that temper the western sun.
The structural system is an RCC frame on a raft foundation, detailed for seismic zone compliance. Locally sourced brick clads the primary facade, reducing maintenance in Dhaka's climate while giving the building its quiet, earthy presence.
NJ delivered the project turnkey — from architectural design and structural engineering through construction management and interior fit-out — completing handover within the contracted fourteen-month programme.
